Notifications
Staff & Administration
What it does
Notifications keep staff and members informed of important events the moment they happen — a commission earned, a lead assigned, a free visit booked, an agreement waiting to be signed — through an in-app bell with an unread badge, email, and push to the phone where it's configured. Nobody has to watch everything by hand; the alert reaches the right person in the right place.
Key concepts
- Staff notification bell — appears in the staff portal top bar and shows the logged-in staff member's own notifications, with an unread count badge.
- Member notifications — land in the notification center of the member app, scoped to that member.
- Channels — in-app (instant), email (via Resend), and push to devices (via Firebase where the brand has configured it). A disabled type is neither recorded nor sent.
- Per-brand toggles — each notification type can be turned on or off per brand in Settings.
Main tasks
Read your notifications (staff)
- Open the bell in the top bar; the badge shows the unread count.
- Click a notification to mark it read and jump straight to the relevant page (commission → the commissions report, lead → CRM).
- Use Mark all read to clear the badge.
Sales-team notifications
- Commission earned — the rep is notified the moment a commission is posted on an activated membership sale.
- Commission paid — the rep is notified when a payout containing their commission is marked paid.
- New lead assigned — the rep is notified when a lead is assigned, escalated, or captured to them.
Member notifications
- Free visit booked — the lead gets a notification (and email) confirming their trial-visit appointment.
- Sign your membership agreement — after buying a membership and the agreement is generated, the member is prompted to review and sign it in the app.
- Membership frozen / renewed and other membership events also arrive in the notification center.
Tips
TIP
Every staff user is linked to one employee record, so notifications are routed per person automatically — a rep sees their commissions and leads, a manager sees their escalations.
INFO
Time-based notifications (e.g. an overdue lead follow-up) rely on the daily scheduled jobs. The event-driven ones (commission, assignment, visit, agreement) arrive instantly with no extra setup.
