Promotions & Coupons

CRM & Marketing

What it does

Promotions & Coupons gives you two ways to discount. A promotion applies automatically when its conditions are met — a seasonal percentage off a plan, with no code to type. A coupon is a code the member enters online or hands over at the desk. Both can be a percentage or a fixed amount, limited to certain plans or products, and bounded by dates and usage limits. Memvera records the attribution for every sale, so you always know which offer drove the revenue.

Key concepts

  • Promotion — an automatic discount that applies whenever its conditions are met; no code needed.
  • Coupon — a code a member enters (online or at reception) to claim a discount.
  • Discount type — either a percentage (e.g. 20% off) or a fixed amount (e.g. 50 off).
  • Validity window — the start and end dates between which the offer can be used.
  • Usage cap — a limit on how many times an offer can be redeemed — overall (per-coupon) and/or per member.
  • Attribution — the record of which coupon or promotion drove each sale, used to measure what works.

Main tasks

Create a coupon code

  1. Go to Marketing → Coupons and choose New coupon.
  2. Set the code, the discount type (percentage or fixed amount), and which plans or products it applies to.
  3. Set the validity window and usage cap (per-coupon and/or per-member).
  4. Save, then share the code online or have reception apply it at checkout.

Run an automatic promotion

  1. Go to Marketing → Promotions and choose New promotion.
  2. Define the conditions — the plans or products it covers and the dates it runs.
  3. Set the discount (percentage or fixed amount) and save.
  4. The promotion now applies automatically at checkout whenever the conditions match — no code required.

Track redemptions & attribution

  1. Open Promotions or Coupons and select an offer to see its redemptions.
  2. Review how many times it was used, by whom, and the revenue attributed to it.
  3. Use the numbers to decide what to repeat, extend, or retire.

Tips

TIP

Set a usage cap on every coupon — both an overall limit and a per-member limit — so a single code can't be shared and over-redeemed.
